Methodology

Each company is split into phases. In each phase, every go-to-market motion it ran gets a role: primary, supporting, or tried and dropped. Motions come from a fixed list of 19 (see them all), so “product-led” means the same thing on every page. The matrix is computed from those phases, never typed by hand.

Every phase, motion, and myth verdict must cite at least one primary source. Primary means one of:

• An SEC filing (S-1, F-1, 10-K) or earnings material on the company's investor site.
• A page on a domain the company owns.
• A founder or executive speaking on the record, with the speaker and the point in the interview where they say it.

Trade press (The Information, Reuters, Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, CNBC, TechCrunch, Forbes) is used for numbers only, mostly for private companies, and every such figure is labelled “Reported” with its date. Revenue-estimate sites, funding trackers, Wikipedia, and recap posts are never used. The build fails if one slips in.

A myth check tests the version of a company's story that circulates. “Supported” and “Partly true” need one primary source. “Not supported” needs two, because calling a popular claim wrong should take more evidence than repeating it.

Lessons and the GTM Now section are Deepak Gupta's analysis. Each lesson states when it transfers and when copying it backfires, and each recommendation points back to the sourced phase it rests on. Facts used inside the analysis are still cited.

A cross-company pattern publishes only when at least 5 published records support it, and it must list the counter-examples in the dataset.
