LoginRadius Raises $17M Series A to Fix Customer Identity

In 2018 we closed a $17M Series A to scale LoginRadius. Here is what the round meant and where the journey started.

LoginRadius Raises $17M Series A to Fix Customer Identity, by Deepak Gupta on guptadeepak.com

In 2012, Rakesh and I started the LoginRadius journey to fix customer identity for everyone on the internet. We did not know the scale of the challenge then. We did not know exactly how we would fix it. What we did know was that almost every person online was hurt by it: bad user experiences, repeated breaches, privacy violations, and an industry that treated identity as a side problem.

By 2018 we had built a platform that handled identity for hundreds of brands and tens of millions of consumers. The Series A, $17M led by ForgePoint Capital with participation from Microsoft's M12, was the capital that let us go from a strong product to a real platform: more regions, more compliance certifications, more enterprise readiness, and the engineering depth to keep scaling.

The round was a milestone, not a destination. The actual work was the decade that followed, the billion identities we eventually managed, and the team that built the system. But 2018 was the year the bet became something the broader market could see, and I am still grateful to the investors and the team who made it possible.
