   October 2026 refresh: status re-audit and 11 new penalties

   Re-audited every status: several were corrected, and a new Not yet final status now covers decisions awaiting court confirmation or still inside an appeal window. Added 11 new penalties, including Temu and AliExpress under the Digital Services Act. Sources now point at the specific decision rather than a regulator index page. The headline total now covers every penalty type except tax recovery, which is shown separately.

   August 2026 refresh: the largest penalty in the directory

   Added Meta's settlement with 51 state attorneys general (a guaranteed $12.1B over ten years, up to $17.1B), New Mexico's $942M trial win against Meta, the European Commission's €890M Digital Markets Act decision against Google, the first Digital Services Act fine (€120M against X), and Brazil's R$153.7M ANPD fine against TikTok's owner. Also recorded the Court of Justice ruling of 2 July 2026 that made Google's €4.125B Android fine definitive.

   Directory launched

   Initial dataset published covering the major fines, settlements, and penalties against Google, Meta, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, OpenAI, TikTok, X, Uber, and Didi from 2004 to 2026, with amounts, statuses, and primary sources.
