August 2026 refresh: the largest penalty in the directory
Added Meta's settlement with 51 state attorneys general (a guaranteed $12.1B over ten years, up to $17.1B), New Mexico's $942M trial win against Meta, the European Commission's €890M Digital Markets Act decision against Google, the first Digital Services Act fine (€120M against X), and Brazil's R$153.7M ANPD fine against TikTok's owner. Also recorded the Court of Justice ruling of 2 July 2026 that made Google's €4.125B Android fine definitive.
