Common questions
- Are these security templates really free?
- Yes. There is no account, no email gate, and no lead form. Each file is generated in your browser from the same data rendered in the preview on its page, so nothing is requested from a server and nothing about your use of it is transmitted.
- Why are the templates CSV rather than XLSX?
- CSV opens in every spreadsheet application and stays diffable in review. The trade is that weights and totals arrive as values rather than formulas, so each template states which cell to convert into a formula once it is open. That cost is stated rather than hidden.
- Are the templates versioned?
- Each carries a version number, a content currency date, and a changelog on its own page. When a template changes, the previous version's reasoning stays visible in the changelog rather than being silently replaced, so anyone who downloaded an earlier copy can see what moved.
