Supabase Startup Program

Supabase does not run a startup credits program anymore. As of September 3, 2026 there is no application form, no published credit amount, and no eligibility criteria on any Supabase-owned page. The supabase.com/startups URL returns a 404.

Deal aggregators still list this program, usually as six months of the Team plan free or as $3,000 in credits over twelve months. Those two figures contradict each other, neither links to a working application, and neither could be verified against a Supabase page. A listing on a perks roundup is not evidence that a program exists.

The part most early-stage teams actually wanted is unaffected: the Supabase free tier is still live. It gives you 500 MB of Postgres, 50,000 monthly active auth users, 1 GB of file storage, and 5 GB of egress across two projects. Two limits matter in practice. A free project pauses after a week without traffic, and the first paid tier starts at $25 per month. If you are pre-launch, the free tier is still the cheapest way to run Supabase.

So the useful question is no longer how to get Supabase credits. It is which piece of Supabase you need, and which provider funds that piece. Postgres has Neon. Auth has Auth0 and MojoAuth, both with free tiers around 25,000 monthly active users and both running real startup programs. Object storage has Cloudflare R2, which charges nothing for egress. Firebase is the closest thing to a whole-platform swap.

One thing worth knowing before you rip anything out: Supabase officially supports third-party auth providers, including Auth0. You can keep Supabase Postgres, your row level security policies, Storage, and Realtime, and change only who issues the JWT. That is usually a far smaller migration than moving the database.
