Fake apps

Counterfeit trading, wallet, banking, or utility apps that steal credentials or show fake balances.

How it works

1. The app is distributed through links, ads, or occasionally official stores.
2. It imitates a real brand or a plausible new platform.
3. Deposits and credentials go straight to the scammer.

Defenses

• Install apps only from official stores and verify the publisher.
• Be wary of apps that a new online contact asks you to install.
• Check reviews and the developer's history.
