Editorial take
The friendliest on-ramp in the directory for people who want to hear what security work feels like. Ron Eddings runs weekly 30 to 40 minute interviews with practitioners, founders and authors, and the archive back to 2019 is strong on career stories, threat intelligence and incident response basics. For a student or switcher, the career episodes (rejection, mentorship, finding a niche) are the reason to subscribe. The limitations are real: Hacker Valley Media also sells content and event coverage to security brands, many guests are vendor executives, and the 2026 run is dominated by AI agents in the SOC. The feed now lists Ron as sole host; co-founder Chris Cochran appears only as a guest.
