Editorial take
The tightest daily security news format going: three headlines, a sponsor read, done in seven or eight minutes. CISO Series rotates a small team of readers, mainly Rich Stroffolino, Sarah Lane, and Steve Prentice, and the scripts are clean and neutral. The Friday Department of Know is the addition that justifies a subscription over a newsletter. Stroffolino hosts working security leaders live for about 35 minutes on what the week's stories mean for their programs. The limitation is the same as any headline show: no depth, and the voice is reporting rather than analysis. Pair it with something slower.
