KYC.
Regulated identity verification that confirms a customer is who they claim to be, required for financial services, healthcare, and many regulated industries.
KYC is auth-adjacent rather than auth itself, most CIAM platforms treat KYC as an integration concern rather than a core feature. The exception is enterprise CIAM in regulated verticals: SAP Customer Data Cloud, Akamai Identity Cloud, Transmit Security, and Strivacity all ship varying degrees of KYC integration. For most B2B SaaS not in regulated industries, KYC is out of scope.
